The Utah Transit Authority (UTA) operates a ski bus route from many locations throughout the Salt Lake Valley. The UTA ski buses conveniently transport skiers and gear. Specialists have designed the buses to withstand the rigors of mountain driving. Because of convenient schedule times, skiers can enjoy a full day, or a morning or afternoon half-day of skiing. Buses run to through the Alta area regularly. For fare & scheduling information, please call (801) BUS-INFO, or visit www.utabus.com.
Several private transportation companies offer service from areas of the Salt Lake Volley up to Alta. (Alta Ski Shuttle, 1-800-742-3406; Canyon Transportation, 1-801-255-1845).
The Alta Ski area provides a free in-area shuttle to assist skiers in getting around. Look for the ALTA SHUTTLE bus stop signs. A number of Alta Town businesses cooperatively provide a free shuttle to serve the guests who choose to stay in properties on Alta's bypass road.
