With the 2002 Olympics fast approaching, it seems only appropriate for Utah's winter visitors to sample some of the events athletes will be competing in. At the Utah Olympic Park, it is now possible to learn to soar above the snow at the only public ski jumping facility in the U.S. From the months of December through March, U.S. Ski Association certified instructors will teach the basics of ski jumping to anyone interested. A two-hour lesson is just $20 and a day pass costs $10. Within two hours of the first lesson intermediate skiers can be flying off the 18-meter jump, hopefully landing on two skis when they hit land again.
